Two intuitive practitioners merge their knowledge and experiences together to bring you Root Source Retreats. Both Katya and Tracy are present for each Retreat event (unless otherwise noted). Experience a unique guided variety of tools and techniques to get you started on your journey towards connection to Gaia, The Divine, Your Purpose. We guide you to start with the root chakra as the initiation of your journey.
Tracy Palmatier – Founder of Root Source
Living life to our fullest and having meaningful experiences is part of our human purpose. When we experience, we learn and grow at all levels. Allowing the universe to guide you takes practice and openness to trust. I have practiced this most of my life and listened to the inner voice that has guided me. The result thus far, has been manifesting my dreams in ways I could not have imagined.
In my mid-twenties, a trip to Sedona, AZ redirected me in the most subtle yet powerful way to finding my true path, a path of my passion and purpose. This meant leaving Boston and moving to rural NC. That was a shock to the system! But, I delved into Natural Health and Herbalism through the Trinity School yet I was soon called to study foundations of the body and nutrition at East Carolina University. With a science degree, I felt I had solid understanding of the body systems, anatomy, and biochemistry.
From there, I was led to pursue a life working in hospitals and clinics for over 10 years. I found joy in these jobs working to help people but yet something was still missing. I left my career in Dietetics in October 2022 to focus my attention on building Root Source Health and Wellness.
Since then, I took my time searching for the right Herbal teacher. I finally found the School of Evolutionary Herbalism. I became a student in 2019 and have returned to my purpose and passion of studying plants, growing medicinal plants, and making herbal medicines.
As of April 2023, I am Usui Reiki Second Degree Certified!
With the constant loving support of my husband and son, my dreams have manifested into reality. The positive energy and encouragement they provide allows me to continue on my path on being of service to others.
By what seems by pure magic, I was introduced to my soul sister, Katya. I am very excited for this next chapter with her and Root Source Retreats!
Katya Tarus aka Earth Star Healer
My purpose is initiating the Earth Star time, the new pathway. Healing energy paths for awakened blossoming souls. I AM becoming here to support healing and holding sage space for anyone in need.

I started my healing journey a while ago and discovered the HEALING of my body and mind is possible. Hence, one day I have decided to go back to the divine source and ask
WHO AM I?
I have discovered my spiritual abilities to recognize energy, to hold sage space, to guide others to the light, to use divination tools and mostly explore holistic practices of intuitive guidance and divine source connection.
On this journey I have completed Shamanic Studies with Foundation of Shamanic Studies founded by Michael Harner, Healing series of journeying and psychopomp, divination practices, calling of spirits, and drumming of the soul dance. I have expanded my awareness in this lifetime. I pursued my Usui Reiki Energy Healing studies becoming a Level II practitioner with One Light Center, Durham using crystal healing and sound as part of my practice.
Today, I have created a sustainable fitness coaching business called Be Body Strong Vibes where I practice to align clients in Body, Mind and Spirit offering them custom guidance and holistic alternatives to understand their trauma and empower them towards their own healing journey.
Healing is an integral part of my life as being always attracted to all unseen things behind the veil, exploring the astral realm, using my inner knowing to share wisdom and create peace and unity amongst people.
I am excited to partner with Tracy Palmatier aka Sunshine Feather to create a sacred space called Root Source Retreat on the grounds of mother Gaia and her crystalline grid.
