Chakra in Sanskrit means “wheel”. These “wheels” are energy centers aligned at core spots in our body. These are not flat discs sometimes depicted in books, but 3D energy fields emanating sometimes several feet beyond our physical body. Our body has 7 basic chakras or energy centers. Root chakra is the first, foundational chakra for all other chakras.
Our root chakra is located at the base of the spine. It corresponds with our tribe, our core beliefs and traditions, and feelings of belonging. It also reflects our sacred truth that all is one.
